Forward Eric O'Dell put pen to paper on a new one-year, two-way contract with the Winnipeg Jets, which will pay him $650,000.

The two-way contract means O'Dell will receive a lower salary if assigned to play on the team’s minor league affiliate.

O'Dell played 30 games with the Jets last season recording three goals and four assists for seven points.

The 24-year-old was a point-a-game player with the St. John's Ice Caps, putting up 42 points in 42 games (17 goals, 25 assists) in the American Hockey League.

O’Dell added another 14 points with the IceCaps in 21 games during the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Forward Patrice Cormier has also agreed to a one-year, two-way deal worth $625,000. Cormier had three assists in nine games last season with the Jets.

Forward John Albert was the third player to get the one-year, two-way contract. He signed for $585,000.

Albert has appeared in nine games with the Jets and scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game last December against the New York Rangers.
