Police are looking for upwards of four suspects after Minister of Children and Youth Opportunities Kevin Chief was assaulted last Sunday.
Officials say Chief was jogging near the Salter Bridge when he was confronted by several people. They attacked him and left him with upper body injuries, including a broken nose.
A spokesperson for the minister says Chief is recovering well, and is keen to get back to work.
