The Manitoba Museum gave CTV News a sneak peek at its new exhibit, Terry Fox: Running to the Heart of the Canada.
It’s being called the most comprehensive exhibit ever organized to chronicle Fox's Marathon of Hope and the legacy he left behind.
The showcase includes Terry's journal, his artificial leg, press clippings and media interviews.
Museum staff said it gives visitors a fresh look at the Winnipeg-born man.
“You see the images on television, and you know kind of what you might have heard when you were growing up, but you get a more intimate portrait of the man,” said Roland Sawatzky, the Manitoba Museum’s curator of history.
The exhibit opens July 14 and runs until October 10.
